I had high hopes for Seafield Hotel, thinking it would be the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. While the spa facilities were a real highlight and the beach access was lovely, the overall experience fell short due to the dated rooms and poor dining options. The lack of room cleanliness during our stay was particularly disappointing, and the food was quite underwhelming, making it hard for me to recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were dated and quite stuffy, lacking proper maintenance. I had two single beds pushed together, which kept coming apart, and there was no minifridge available.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss. While the receptionist was pleasant, there seemed to be a lack of responsiveness when issues arose, which left me feeling a bit frustrated.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated within a few minutes' walk of a gorgeous beach, which was great for sunny days, but the surrounding area felt quite quiet.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing since the food lacked flavor and variety. I found it bizarre to be charged extra for basic things like ice for our wine.
Facilities
7.0
The spa facilities were one of the redeeming features of the hotel, well maintained and offering a decent variety of treatments, though the lack of air conditioning in both the gym and spa was unfortunate.

During my weekend family getaway, we hoped for a relaxing experience at this spa hotel. The location was perfect with just a short walk to the beach, but we faced some issues. The room was decent but had some worn-out furniture, and the service left much to be desired. Overall, while the beach access and spa facilities were highlights, the room and service didn't meet the 4-star expectations.

The room had a lovely balcony which was amazing, but the furniture was worn out. We had two single beds pushed together that kept coming apart, which was not ideal for a family stay.

The service wasn't up to par. Although the staff seemed friendly, communication was lacking and issues took longer to resolve than expected.

My experience at Seafield was mixed. While the location is breathtaking and the beach nearby is stunning, the overall hotel felt a bit lackluster compared to my last visit. The rooms were comfortable, but the heating made it hard to sleep well. The dining options were decent but could use improvement, particularly with breakfast. Overall, it's a fine choice, but you might want to consider other options for a truly luxurious experience.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were comfortable but a bit dated, and the excessive heat made for a restless night. I would rate them 7/10.
Service

The service during check-in felt a bit disorganized, especially with other wedding parties around, but the staff was pleasant overall. I'd give the service a 6/10.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a few minutes from the beautiful beach which I loved. I would rate the location a 9/10.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was decent with a good selection, but breakfast options could use some enhancement, especially with basic items costing extra. I'll rate the dining experience a 6/10.
Facilities

The thermal suite was nice, but many steam rooms were out of order, which was disappointing. Overall, I would rate the facilities a 7/10.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-great experiences. The location near the beach was lovely, and I enjoyed the spacious rooms. However, the temperature in the room was quite high, making it uncomfortable at times. The dining options were also a bit hit-or-miss, with some meals not meeting expectations. Overall, I think it has potential, but there are areas that need attention to truly shine.
Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious, but the temperature was uncomfortably high and the beds were two singles pushed together, which kept separating.
Service
7.0
Service was generally good, but there were a few lapses in communication, particularly about the room's window issue.
Location
9.0
The hotel is within a few minutes' walk to a stunning beach, offering a pleasant setting for relaxation.
Dining

Dining options varied; some meals were enjoyable, but not all lived up to the expectations for a luxury establishment.

The facilities included a nice bar area and a spa, which were quite appealing, although the dining room could use improvement.

I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at Seafield, which boasted an impressive spa and beautiful beach access. The outdoor hot tub and pool were highlights, along with the attentive staff. However, I found some issues with the dining options, particularly the limited bar food selection and high prices. Also, the room did have some maintenance concerns that need addressing, which took away from the overall experience.
Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and had a nice balcony, but it lacked a refrigerator and had some wear and tear, such as cracked fixtures and chips on the furniture.
Service
8.0
The service was mostly attentive, especially from the staff in the restaurant, although I did experience a few lapses in attention from the waitstaff.
Location
9.0
Located on the County Wexford coast, the hotel had easy access to the stunning Ballymoney beach, which was a short walk away.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was enjoyable, but the bar food selection was rather limited and pricier than expected, though restaurant meals were good.
Facilities
8.0
The spa facilities were fantastic, particularly the thermal suite and pools, but I found the dining options lacking in variety.
